Upgrading from 2.5 to build 4124 (also tried 4128) works fine, but installing Tools gives error -5004. This is on MacBook Pro 2 GHZ/2GB Ram with 10.4.9.
I have Vista Business (with all available updates/hotfixes) installed.
Tools installation starts automatically while booting Vista and gives that error.
I also tried to cancel that, then open the CD and launch setup.exe with context menu as Administrator, same result.
When I try to deinstall the Tools I get the same error message.
I tried to deinstall after launching Vista normally (and waited 5 minutes to be sure all is fully executed) and after launching Vista in "safe mode".
I made sure that "Cancel Parallels Tools" is not shown in the Action menu, so no installation was in progress.
I tried with the "plain" MacBook, no additional hardware connected.
I run out of ideas now...
The Vista image was new created with 2.5.
Any idea?
BTW: using the "report" button of the error dialog gives a "Page not found" error on parallels web site.
