how would I configure my current windows drive under parallels if I simply want to unplug it from my current computer and plug it in, via USB adapter, to an iMac? And to what degree is reconfiguration of Windows required!

Moving the physical drive from PC (a) to an external dock. Plugging the dock into a USB port on an iMac

  4. It is not possible to access Windows using Parallels Desktop for Mac by connecting the hard drive from Windows PC to the USB port on Mac. Please refer this article to migrate a PC to Mac using Parallels Desktop for Mac.
