New to iMac and wanting to copy from old Windows XP machine, via network ( Windows XP V2002 Service Pack 3 AMD Athlon Processor 1800+ 1.49 Ghz 992 MB Ram and 40 GB spare space. Firewall off on both iMac and Windows, Antivirus stopped on windows PC. and have tried Windos CMD scan with no errors reported) Download of Parallels Transporter Agent-12.1.1-41481-win.exe when run gives message 'Checking for updates' then nothing happens. The Mac Parallels AP is working and displays the network key ready to enter into the Transporter Agent but the Agent Windows Ap is not loading I guess. Any ideas please?

Hi, could you please try it again and provide us with the screenshot of the error message/ or with the screenshot of loading.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi Maria, Since this post I have been in touch with Parallels support (see Parallels #2347645). I direct reply to your reply there are no error messages the downloaded .exe for Transporter Agent at first displays the 'Egg Timer' this is followed by the small window 'Checking for Updates - then nothing at all. The .exe has been re-downloaded and earlier versions (v10, v11 ) have also been tried with identical results.
Regarding the support case your colleague Hemnath tried to connect remotely to my PC but this failed as the Aplet required for his remote connection would not run on my PC either. Hemnath was able to connect remotely to my iMac but the installation could not be completed without a copy of the XP Installation disc. He suggested I contact Microsoft, as he though they would be able to provide an XP ISO file, however Microsoft cannot provide XP SO file,( they can only provide ISO files for Windows 7 upwards). My PC is now with local repair specialist who is to check if it can be upgraded to run Windows 7 as a possible solution. This may be the way forward as although my XP PC runs all other applications error free, but I am unable to get Parallels to Install on XP.
