Trouble with windows 7 homegrop only with the Mac :(

I have a primary pc desktop that I created a homegroup on it shares with 3 pcs in the house with zero issues EXCEPT the imac I joined that homegroup with the imac and went in made sure no password protection was checked in advanced network settings, I am in bridged mode via paralells, and from the mac I can see access read write to all the other computers but none of my pcs can access the mac each one says I have to enter the network password user name/password, I tried both my sign on stuff for the pc as well as the mac neither lets me in so I am not sure what it wants name/password wise.

Any suggestions of what else I can try?

Ok I got to step 6 but after unlocking the directory utility (which i entered my user name/pass) I don't see where to do step 6 (edit/enable root user).
In directory editor I saw local users (my name) unauthenticated, I clicked that entered my user info now that says Authenticated as (my name)

At the top of the Directory Utility I see 3 options - Services / Search Editor / Directory Editor

If I go to services i see 3 things Active Directory / NIS / LDAPv3 I can click on those but don't quite get what to change or do in them so I didn't mess with that.

I just don't see anywhere that shows an edit option or phrase of "enable root user".

Obviously I am not that great around the macs but I am trying and thanks for the help here!

Enable the root user

1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Users & Groups.
2. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then type an administrator name and password.
3. In the Network Account Server section, click Join or Edit.
4. Click Open Directory Utility.
5. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then enter your administrator name and password.
6. Choose Edit > Enable Root User, and then enter a root user password in the Password and Verify fields.

Be sure to specify a secure password.
