Trying to uninstall trial version

Recently tried out the trial version , but to no avail.( couldnt get it activated whats soever). So id thought i'll throw caution to the wind and purchase the full version of parallel 9 from Amazon anyway.
Only trouble is whenever i try to install it the trial version over rides it and tells me i need to purchase it from the website so i cannot actually type the new activation key in. Can anyone please take me through the procedure of how to uninstall the old trial version , so i can install the version that i have acquired please.
Bear in mind i am quite a dummy when it comes to these things so if you could itemise what i need to do it would be a great help.

All you need to do is move it to the trash. Empty trash then reboot your mac.

Thank you. Have done that and now i can enjoy having my beautiful mac as well as being able to use the software i bought when i had windows 7. Thank you so very much.
