Ubuntu 20.04 and coherence

I understand that Ubuntu 20.04 does not support the coherence mode, but is there an alternative?
Without coherence how do I move a file from my Mac desktop to the Ubuntu 20.04 VM? Likewise, how do I move a file from Ubuntu 20.04 to my Mac?
