The support team at parallels is just a tiny little person with no relevant knowledge whatsoever, because why else is it so hard to get some support???
    Anyway, the problem at hand:
I have been running Parallels desktop 17 for some time now, and running a windows machine flawlessly. I recently tried to install the new Ubunu 25.4 ARM with a newly downloaded image. I went through the parallels setup wizard, which inmediately saw the downloaded image. I hit install and got the ubuntu boot screen. Until an error message popped up:
"Could not create the optical disk image required for unattended installation of linux.
The installlation will proceed in standard mode. Manual intervention will be required at certain steps."
So what this is telling me is that the cd image, which it booted from, is gone. In the configuration that image is still there and attached.
When continuing the boot process it downloads the image from the internet location in the Ubuntu ilveCD configuration, but that comes as far as 35% and then errors out as well. This time the message is:
"Wget: short write: No space left on device
Unable to find a medium containing a live file system."
Which is not that weird considering that it did not even download half of it.
So, in short, there is no way I can install any other VM on this machine using parallels.

    What is going wrong here?
