Ubuntu or Pop OS for MacBook Pro 16"?

Hi, I know that Pop OS is based on Ubuntu but on some Windows laptops I tried, installation and use of Pop OS is issue-free while there are issues with installing/using Ubuntu on those laptops. For the MacBook Pro 16", which is better?

From the Parallels Demo version, Ubuntu is included and installation of it created an Ubuntu folder on Mac desktop. Is Ubuntu better supported and more compatible under Parallels?
