I'm using the latest version of Parallels Desktop and just started having a problem with using VMs like El Capitan and Ubuntu. I haven't tried my Windows 10 VM for concern that I will have the same problem.

The VM screens split and lock up, then the Mac reboots.

Is anyone else having this problem? Are there any fixes available?

Hello, and thanks for responding to my message.

I deleted both the El Capitan and Ubuntu VMs and re-installed them. So far, I haven't had any problems, although the El Capitan VM seems to make the Mac fan work harder. I also have a Windows 10 VM that I haven't used since my previous issues so I'll run that now and let you know the outcome.

Thanks again for your quick response.

Hello, I started up Parallels Desktop today to use the El Capitan VM. I didn't get to log into the VM - my MacBook Pro just shut down and reboot.

After the reboot, I received the message displayed in the screenshot about Operation Timeout
