Parallels Desktop 2.5; build 3214 on Macbook CD
I had to resort to Archive Install as the Leopard Upgrade option failed for me.
Repeated attempts to reboot after a Upgrade install, Leopard would not start up all the way. I went into verbose mode and it appeared that after Parallels started up, the boot process seemed to hang. I performed a Archive Install and now Leopard boots up properly.
But now, when I try to start Parallels, I get the "Unable to Communitcate..." message. I'm sure something that Parallels installs into the System folder is missing, which was archived off.
I'm looking for suggestions or best practices to restore Parallels to working order. Is a simple reinstall going to do it for me or copying something over from the archived System folder work?
If a reinstall is required, can I still get the 2.5 installer from Parallels?
