Hello, When starting VM Windows7 I get this message: Unable to connect Hard Disk 1. Thereafter : My Snapshots catalog is deleted. Tried to merge Snapshots with prl_disk_tool as suggested in your KB ID: 9165. Result (see Attachment "Terminal") even though there were 4 Disk images present (se Attachm. "VM Images") Macintosh HD checked - OK Verifying volume Macintosh HD The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK. I have tried all I could find in the Forum, also "Boot flags" but nothing has helped so far. Then I reinstalled Parallels. It is Parallels Desktop for Mac 6 and Win7 Ultimate I am using. It started with trying to Compress the VM virtual drive which is close to 430GB and when clicking Compress it said over 200GB would be freed. That would have been great but it never worked. So What can be done ??? Regards Wolf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Earlier I did sent a Problem Report to Parallels Support, but have not got an answer yet. I did save the Report ID, but since I can't get into Windows at all I can not supply it. Since these bugs have been reported for years I think Parallels should try to solve this urgently and relieve us from frustration.
Hello Wolf, The first thing you need to do is no merge all snapshots. You need to use the same KB but try to change the path, e.g. enter the pvm folder within Terminal before executing the command (cd ~/Documents/Parallels/Windows.pvm). Try to use the path without brackets, use \ in the place of spaces (in file name) e.g ~/Documents/Parallels/Windows\ 7.pvm/
