I've a older piece of equipment that needs to be told what comm port it's using when connected to my Mac's USB port. I've been able to do this in the past with previous versions of Parallels, but in 10 I can't seem to be able to create a comm port. I followed the directions on adding a serial port using the hardware tab, but the only option that shows up is "Printer" - no "Serial" option at all.
Also, after trying to add a serial port my cursor freezes completely whenever the Parallels program is running and won't function until I force quit Parallels. (I use a track pad).
I'm running 10.10.4 and Parallels 10.
