I have a MacPro5,1 running Mojave and Windows 10. Because Apple no longer supports Boot Camp on my Mac, I had to do a regular install of Windows 10 onto this Mac Pro. Parallels 16 Pro is refusing to allow me to import this copy of Windows, either as a Boot Camp partition or as "Another PC". Please don't tell me I need to put this disk into an external enclosure just to import it...

I found out what was causing this problem. At some point Windows had put a 'recovery partition' at the end of the drive. I discovered this by running 'diskutil list' which revealed the wacky partition layout on this drive. Simply deleting the extra partition from Windows' disk manager allowed me to import the drive into a VM, though Parallels still complained mightily about it. After several error prompts I was able to bot the VM.
