Just to get this out of the way.
    MacBook Pro 16" M1 Pro, 32GB, 500GB SSD
Parallels Desktop 18 Pro Edition, Version 18.0.2 (53077)
    VM 1 - macOS Monterrey 12.6 (21G115)
    VM 2 - Windows 11 Home (22H2)
After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I got macOS up and running but quickly ran into "Failed to Authenticate" when logging into iCloud. I can log into iCloud from the browser directly, so there are no username or password issues. I was about to chalk this up to the Apple Silicon mess when an application warned me that the clock skew was off by 40 minutes. I checked and made sure it was set to poll the time.apple.com NTP server automatically, and it was, so I decided to check the server itself.
I can't ping it. I can browse wherever I like, but in terminal, if I ping time.apple.com, nothing. Then I tried 4.4.4.4. Nothing. Ping www.google.com. Nothing. Check the network settings and ping the router (192.168.64.1). Nothing. I can ping the broadcast (192.168.64.255), but that doesn't count. I can, however, ping the Mac VM (192.168.64.5) from the host mac AND the Windows 11 VM.
I checked the network settings, and everything looked fine there, but when I looked at the VirlO adapter, everything crashed, the VM, my Mac, everything.
But I can browse with Safari and Firefox.

So, what Captain Obvious thing am I missing here?

FYI, I found the iCloud authorization issue in the known limitations page.
