Unable to read xp disc

I have installed Parallels and was ready to install xp. Put the xp disc in the drive. Parallels black screen runs and then state can't read disc please add new disc. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do??? Any help would be great

Open Parallels. You should see a window (not sure since I have WinXP installed now).

Anyway if you see the window click on the CD-DVD item or whatever and make sure it is saying use CD/DVD-ROM vs. Image file.

That *could* be the problem .. or not.
