I want to run WiFI analysis tools on my Windows 7 VM such as inSSIDer or Ekahau. However on my Windows VM they don't show any WiFi activity at all. 'No Signals Detected' is the error. My Mac is on WiFi, the Windows VM has network access but the only network adapter I can configure is the 'Parallels Ethernet Adapter'. From the VMs perspective there is no active WiFi.

I've tried shared network as well as Bridged/WiFi. I've tried all the different options for MAC addresses. How do I need to configure the VM to detect WiFi signals?

    Hi,
A virtual machine can use three different networking modes to communicate with the world: Bridged, Shared and Host-Only Bridged, Shared or Host-Only. Windows can not use wi-fi signals directly because Windows uses Parallels Virtual Adapter to connect network. Please go through http://kb.parallels.com/4948 to know more about Parallels networking modes.
