Uninstalling Parallels leaves their default 'exe' icon behind

I decided to give Parallels a try but after the trial period I decided to uninstall it. However, Parallels has permanently changed the default icon for 'exe' files to it's own - the one with the two large red bars on it.

Firstly, I guess this must be a bug in the uninstall routine. If installing Parallels changes the default icon for exe files to the Parallels one, then uninstalling Parallels should revert the icon back to the default used by Snow Leopard before Parallels was installed (which it hasn't done).

Does anyone know where Parallels goes and updates the default icon for exe files, so that I can go and manually undo it? I did have a look in Boot/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle but there's nothing in there for exe files.

Without Windows or Parallels, I don't believe any .exe files can run in OSX.

Easy to change though, if there's some .exe file that does run in OSX (please tell me about it), just right click on the file, get info, then change open with to whatever program you want, and then click on the button that says something like open similar files with this program.

But again, I cannot imagine that there is an .exe file that runs natively in OSX.

Yes exe files won't run natively under Mac OS X, however I use my Mac as a central repository for stuff I use on my Windows laptop as well as in some VMware virtual machines. Parallels has 'tattooed' the icons for a lot of these files - far too many to go and change each one manually.

I guess what I am driving at is that (aside from this being a bug in the Parallels uninstall routine) I'm hoping someone at Parallels must know how to reverse this and restore the default icon because installing Parallels has changed the default icon that OS X uses whenever a new exe file is created, and if they can reveal where their install routine changes it then I can go and change it back to remove those two red bars.
