Universal Printing - won't print multiple copies

Using ApplicationServer 6 and Application Server Client 6 (latest versions of both) with some published MS Access database applications. Using the Universal Printer driver, when I try to print something out and choose multiple copies (i.e. I want three copies of a proposal, so I choose 3 on the print dialog), it only will ever print out one copy. It seems to be ignoring the number of copies option on the dialog box. At the moment, I only have one printer to test with, as I'm in a remote office, so I'm unsure if its the Universal Printer driver that is the problem, or the local printer driver. Can anyone confirm this issue?

The problem may be Adobe itself. If you open a pdf file and try to print multiple copies, what happens?

You need to make sure that the "collate" feature is turned off

On my machine, at the home office, and with Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.1, if I print a PDF directly and ask for multiple copies, multiple copies print out. However, I'm seeing the same issue here that I was in the remote office, when printing through the Universal print driver - only one copy comes out. When you speak of the "collate" feature, are you referring to the option in the printer dialog box? Or another embedded Acrobat option or feature?

This issue is coming form the 2X Client, a hot fix will soon be available.
I will let you know when it is out.

Agreed. However, if you print using the Enhanced MetaFile instead of PDF, then the multiple copies work just fine. Just change the setting on the client.

Also, printing using the enhanced meta file is a lot faster than the pdf printing. The BMP printing does not work no matter what I do.

I have a client with an identical problem. Needs to print 3 copies of something..only gets one. They are very annoyed by this (their accounting package makes it very very difficult to go back in and print the order and extra 2 times)

Please post the hotfix or let us know...

Do you have an ETA for release? I reported this and several other issues several months ago, was told hotfixes would be available "soon" and haven't seen anything yet. Now, we're told fixes will be in a beta 6.1. In the meantime, I've got some fairly frustrated end-users...

Did you try Enhanced MetaFile instead of PDF?

That's how I fixed my problem with multiple printing?

No pdf viewer needed on the client.

I did not try the Enhanced MetaFile. The multiple copies issue is a minor issue for us; printing not working at all after a network disconnect is the bigger one that I hope 2x will release a fix for soon.
 
I am having this problem with version 8.1....

We just changed all our remote user over to an HP all-in-one printer model and suddenly they can't print on multiple pages using the Universal printer driver...

Help!!
