Update for Parallels desktop 7 for mac

Hi

I got a notification that there was an update for the above. So I followed the instructions and ran it. Now it has been stuck for over an hour as it installs Parallels Tools (stuck at 60%). While this is installing I cant use my Windows os.

I did go through the Troubleshoot and it says to leave it -- so I will leave it on all night and see what happens. Just wondered if anyone else has the same problem?

No point in leaving it all night, if it takes more than an hour it's not working.

Well I left it on all night and when I came in this morning it was still stuck on 60%. So I tried to shut down and then the operation completed.

So leaving on all night seemed to do something.

Helpful comments are really useful at a time when you are struggling
 
I don't understand your comment about helpful comments.
If you tried to shut down before leaving it on all night you would probably get the same outcome, I can assure you that it really did no difference all those hours, as you can see, it was still stuck at 60%, your conclusion is not correct.

Most likely there was a confirmation box that was hidden and you had to click ok to continue.

My recommendation is that you uninstall Parallels Tools and install them again, because I don't think they are correctly installed.
