I don't run windows on my mac very often so I haven't ever updated from Parallels 5 and didn't think to check on it before updating My mac OS to Yosemite. Now Parallels won't open at all. I've tried uninstalling using the install disk and it doesn't recognize that it is installed. So now I'm stuck with 100gb partitioned to a windows Virtual Machine that I can't use or get rid of. Anyone have any advice? I'd love to just get rid of the existing virtual machine and start fresh.

    Thanks,

    Cole

    Hi ColeP,
Your Mac OS Yosemite does not meet the system requirement of your Parallels Desktop 5. Please refer to this article to know about the Parallels Desktop and Mac OS (Host) compatibility and install the latest version of Parallels Desktop to get your Windows virtual machine up and running.
