Updating Parallels Tools on virtual machine masters (does it break clones?)

We use Linked Clones a lot. We ensure our master Virtual Machine has the latest tools. Then we spin off the Linked Clones.
What happens when we need to update Parallels Desktop 11 to the latest version, and update Parallels Tools on the master Virtual Machine? Does it break the Linked Clones?
I'll take my answer offline...just kidding, please post answer here if you know. :)

the idea of linked clone - is to take a snapshot and then both VMs (original one and clone) will use it. however, from this point they are running as different VMs. that means that all changes performed on particular VM (original, or clone) will affect only this VM. After update, you'll need to update tools on both: original vm and clone

Just tested it and it did not break the Linked Clone. :)
Basically, it is safe to update Parallels Desktop to the latest version then update the Parallels Tools for individual VM's (Master or Linked Clone)
