Upgrade from Windows 11 Home to Pro

I've got Parallels 18 desktop running a licensed and activated Windows 11 Home. If I buy a Windows 11 Pro product key, is upgrading as simple as putting in the new activation code, or are there some pitfalls I need to be aware of?

Aside from being officially supported, are there any main performance advantages?

Thank you for reaching out to Parallels.
To upgrade from Windows 11 home to Pro, you can simply follow the steps below:
  1. Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.

  2. Select Change product key, and then enter the 25-character Windows 11 Pro product key.

  3. Select Next to start the upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.
