upgrade key does not function

I just bought the parallels 5 software and today i received a mail from parallels telling
me that:
You recently purchased Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac – the leading solution to run Windows applications on a Mac without rebooting. Because you purchased your product within our grace period (on or after August 15, 2010), you are eligible for a free-of-charge upgrade to the new Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac!

But the key in this mail for the parallels 6 did not funtion
what can i do?
 
I have the same problem. I have a support ticket pending. When I punch in the upgrade key they emailed me it says that the number only supports the French version of the software. I never downloaded the French version, ever and I live in the US
