Upgrade option makes parallels disappear!!

I have an upgrade message from 10.0.xxx to 10.1.xxx, when I select "upgrade" all that happens is parallel app closes and nothing else happens.

What gives?

Hello David,

That shouldn't happen.

Please try re-installing the application by following the steps as suggested below:

- Uninstall Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac : http://kb.parallels.com/122653
- Download Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac latest build from : www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd10
- Install the application.

This should help you in installing the latest build successfully.

Just to be certain, if I uninstall then it will keep my VM's safe on the drive?

Uninstalling Parallels Desktop application will not remove your Windows Virtual Machine. By default all virtual machines are stored in /Documents/Parallels or in /Users/Shared/Parallels folder.
The .pvm file is your complete Virtual Machine, you will have access to your Virtual machine until the .pvm file is removed from your Mac manually.
