Do i Just download the new version and use my pre-puchased code? Will this preserve the Virtual machine already set - up?

Yes that worked fine for me. The real question is, will we need to uninstall Parallels Tools and then reinstall the released version??

The blog post regarding the release says yes, re-install the Tools.

YES reinstall Parallel Tools (Menu VM)

This will Upgrade Your Parallel Tools.

No need to uninstall Tools.
