Upgrade to latest version of parallels

Hello,

Could anyone tell me if I upgrade my current version of Parallels to the latest version will I still be able to access the same virtual machine or will I have to install a new instance of windows etc?

Any information would be hugly appreciated.
 
Make sure you backup the VM's before you start...
Also make sure you have a .dmg file of Parallels 5 on that backup if 6 appears not to work.
Just to be sure...
