Upgrading from XP to Win 7

Would like to hear experiences of those who have upgraded from XP to Win 7 through Parallels. Currently using V7.0.15107
Have an 8 year old Macbook with 4 GB RAM.

Frustrated at the moment for difficult network issues between XP on the Mac and my WIN 7 Desktop PC
I can see Win 7 folders and drives from the Mac but not vice versa. Not sure if changing to Win 7 on the Mac would change that?

Hello Induna,

before the upgrade you can take a snapshot and if smth goes wrong you will be able to revert the changes: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5691
as for the network issue, I bet you are running VM in Shared mode and you should just switch to Bridged: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4948
