Upgrading to RC2

What's the proper way to upgrade from RC(1)? I have OS X as primary and WinXP as a guest OS. Can I just download RC2 and will it overwrite RC1? What about Parallels Tools?

I've been simply installing over previous installations for multiple beta and RC releases for months without problem. I think you are probably safe to just run the installer and let it do its thing. Although personally, I do automated, incremental network backups of all my computers daily just in case!
