Upgrading to Vista on MacBook

I am using Parallels Build 3150 RC2 on a 2Ghz Core 2 Duo MacBook to run a registered cleanly installed Version of WinXP Pro with current updates. When I attempt to use a newly purchased Windows Vista Business Upgrade, I get a non-compliance report at the start stating: "This computer is not compliant with Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (API) standard. [...] Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install WIndows on an ACPI-compliant computer"

Any suggestions? Am I now the proud owner of a rather expensive oddly shaped plastic box?

Problem solved

Looks like I was looking in the wrong place for a solution. The answer to this can be found in

Essentially one needs to boot off the Vista DVD (That took me a few tries for some reason), install without entering the key, boot in the newly installed Vista and then do a repeat clean install entering the key. Once this is done, install the parallels tools, and then the the machine will connect to the network.
