Upgrated Parallels 11, Meant to purchase Pro Edition

I upgraded to Parallels Desktop 11, but I meant to get the Pro version. How can I exchange the regular for the Pro version?

Hi, according to your Parallels account you're using the standard version. But also you can check it in Parallels Desktop tab -> about Parallels Desktop option.

Hi, please click on Parallels Desktop tab and choose "upgrade to Pro"
Just so we are clear: if someone paid $50 to upgrade to the "crippled" Parallels 11 (aka the non-pro version) as most of us did, you are suggesting we pay *another* $50 to upgrade to pro? You do realize that the cost to upgrade to pro is $50, right? Who in their right mind would pay $100 because Parallels now offers such horrible software that you can't even switch license types? Oh, and don't forget if you "upgrade" to "pro" you need a license key per-machine. I've used Parallels since version 3 and upgraded with each release. Through this whole pro insanity, terrible support and bait and switch advertising you've lost yourself another long time customer.
VMware will give you 40% off if you provide a valid Parallels key, no dumb restrictions like 4 CPUs/8GB RAM and installation on up to 3 machines all for LESS than the non-pro Parallels cost. Removing features present in the last release is absurd; I shouldn't need a pro version to do exactly what I did with the last version. I'm happy to pay for version upgrades with new features but absolutely will NOT pay for a new version that has been intentionally crippled. I highly suggest you re-think your licensing model..
Parallels 11 is actually a good product, the licensing model is complete crap. I had to migrate 14 VMs to Fusion from Parallels so it wasn't a decision I made lightly, your licensing model actually pissed me off that much. I see lots of posts claiming that Parallels is providing "feedback to upper management"... well, it's been a month and we've heard nothing. My guess is "management" doesn't care and Parallels hates their customers. I will happily retract these statements if we ever hear something positive from the management team at Parallels but my guess is we never will, thus this will be my last post here and I will no longer be using or recommending Parallels products to any of the 300+ customers I work with.

For my 2 cents worth, I too have been a long time customer since version 2.5. I've paid the upgrade fee every year since then, all the way to version 11. In the years previous I had been accustomed to running my copy on a laptop and a desktop. When 10 rolled out I got a notice that this was not allowed and I could then only use one installation. That's fine, I get it. This is nothing unheard of. Most software vendors allow only one copy on one machine. So I bought a version of 11 for my laptop and stayed with 10 on my home lab server.
Today I just got around to upgrading my version 10 to 11. I'm sorry I did. Lost in my lab now, is the ability to even start/stop test servers from command line, but I can see what I have and if they're running or not! It's like a slap in the face! You'll let us see what we have, but you won't let us start/stop them? Instead I now receive the message "The command is available only in Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro or Business Edition." To make matters worse, there is no discernible way, if at all, to upgrade from Standard to Pro without having to pay yet another $50.
I have stuck with this product for these many years even though it was more expensive than the major competitor, but unless the command line functionality I am used to is reinstated, or there is a way to move my Standard license to Pro without having to pay another $50, this will be the last version I will have purchased. I'm not even sure it's worth paying $100/year subscription fee if that's what it's going to be.

I and several colleagues have been using Parallels Desktop for years. Always upgraded to the most recent version. Unfortunately I have bought and installed version 11. Never thought an upgrade of the software would result in a major feature loss !!! Now I can't use command line interface anymore to pass commands to the Windows virtual machine from my mac (using prlctl). I get the "The command is available only in Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro or Business Edition." message... No way I want to pay another 50 EURO for upgrading to the Pro version. I have always been very satisfied with the Parallels software and convinced others to use it as well. If Parallels doesn't change their licensing model, they will loose me and a lot of colleagues as customers...

@cult_hero13 @DominiqueD1 go back to Parallels Desktop 10 get a refund for Parallels Desktop 11 Standard and then maybe buy the Pro Version or checkout VMWare Fusion 8 or VMWare Fusion 8 Pro 
Going back to Parallels Desktop 10 worked without a problem and I also could run the previously in Parallels Desktop 11 run VM without a problem, ok you may have to install the guest tools of Parallels Desktop 10 again but then it should work at least until you switch to Parallels Desktop 11 Pro or some other VM solution..
