USB hdd connection

USB HDD clearance in Windows 10

Since lately I am not asked by Windows 10 to accept/give clearance to a connected USB Hard drive. Whithout that clearance I can not run a special application since its dependent on that cleared HDD!?
I don't know why that clearance request has disappeared and how I can repair that issue.

... it is called a "scan and fix" promt that disappeared... that I need to answer in order to clear it for my specific application

The alert you were getting in Windows 10 is not a default popup it will only pop up when a connected external device seems to be corrupted. You can right click on that device and select properties then check for disk errors under the option in Tools.
