usb midiinterface

hi!
for my nord micromodular editor (mac version crashes) i need to connect an edirol um2 usb-midi interface.
this is not recognized by th w2k VM.
is this generally not supported yet or did i miss one step? if i try to connect it says that the usb device is used somewhere else in osx.

Is this USB 2 or USB 1.1?

On a slightly different subject I just had a bear of a time getting a USB 2.0 printer to work as Parallels apparently only recognizes USB 1.1.

Just a thought.

The Parallels USB implementation is a hybrid using the 1.1 protocol, at near 2.0 speed. Many devices are supported, and more are added as updates are released. Full 2.0 support is on the roadmap, but no time frame has been stated.

For now, some devices work and some don't. In any case, if OSX grabs a device, the guest can't, so turning on autoconnect seems to be the best bet for getting the guest to grab devices as they are plugged in (with the VM running).
