I am running parallels - recently a problem has developed with my printer port. When I plug the cable into the USB - the usual "Which device do you want to use - Mac OS or Virtual Machine" question no longer pops up. And my printer no longer works. Oddly enough - when I remove the cable from the USB port the pop-up appears very briefly. As though the command sequence has been reversed.

Thanks for the suggestion - removed the device from the USB port - but still getting the odd reversed order of the commands - "which would you like to connect to ; Mac or virtual machine" option window appears for a split second after I unplug the USB cable - not after I plug it in.
