I am running the Atmel development IDE under Windows for C-code development and need to generate different symbols like []{}|\. I have read the forums and also executed the instructions in PTN:s ID:5965 "Keyboard mapping for nation-specific layouts." I still cannot generate the desired characters.
I am using Snow Leopard, latest Parallels and winXP SP3 and Apple's Swedish keyboard. Checking windows Control Panel options shows that Apple's Swedish keyboard is selected.
I would like the VM to generate all characters exactly as on the Mac, and it surprises me tha Parallels does not provide this by default. My son uses VM-ware's VM and claims that it works fine.
Does anybody have a solution? If not, I see only these unpalatable options
-Attach a Windows keyboard. It may work, but probably not. Any experince out there?
-Go back to use a windows computer
-Skip Parallels and buy VM-Ware instead
