Using Parallels Mac XP VM under Parallels Workstation?

Can I use a XP VM created on my Mac with Parallels using an XP machine with Parallels workstation? I basically need to send my Mac in for repairs which will take a few days and would like in the meantime to run my XP VM on a spare XP laptop. I remeber trying a while ago to install the 14-day workstation trial but it did not recognize my Mac VM.
