Using physical drives

When I start a project I get an SSD and make it the hard drive of the parrallels virtual machine. In the settings for the virtual machine I indicate to use a physical disk and give it the disk selection (/dev/disk2). I then boot the virtual machine. Sometimes when I plug the disk in, I can get a different mac disk (/dev/disk5) and I need to change the settings in the virtual machine. The settings now have two disks. this happens again and now settings has three disks. Is there a way to clear all the disks in settings? Also how can I set backup up to back up the physical drives to my time machine backup disk?
