v9 on Mavericks with Yosemite Guest

I have 9.0.24251 running under Mavericks 10.9.5. I installed a Mavericks guest OS. Then, I downloaded Yosemite inside the guest and tried to upgrade. The guest restarts, but I get a Parallels boot screen. I can't choose Macintosh HD, and Recovery HD loads the Mavericks recovery partition. How do I upgrade the guest OS to Yosemite?
