I have not been successful in getting > 800x600 video in OpenSuSE 10.
I've tried sax2 (switching monitor to LCD panel 1024x768 at several frequencies) and using VESA video
I've tried manually editing xorg.conf (something I do somewhat often and am comfortable with.)
I've tried different grub boot video settings.
None have worked.
If you have OpenSuSE working at XGA, I would really appreciate knowing the details of how you did it.
If you have other linuxes, using xorg and working at > 800x600, I'd love to see your xorg.conf.
