viewing cd in windows virtual machine

Is there a way to open/view a CD in windows when the CD automatically opens on the mac desktop? I would like to occasionally do this without having to boot up as PC. When I attach an external drive I am asked where to attache the drive (pc or mac) but not when I load an individual CD into the internal drive
 
it worked, one more question

I presume that I need to check and uncheck the 'connected' box in configure settings any time I want to launch in windows, one can not simply choose at random
