I recently upgraded from version 17.0 to 17.1.0 as 17.0 was crashing frequently. Seems that the prl_vid driver is no longer used in 17.1 and virgl is being used instead. It is obviously much slower than prl_vid and JetBrains coding tools are almost unusable, slow scrolling and editor lag. Downgrading to the Parallels Tools from 17.0 with the prl_vid driver is a temporary fix which works but it then nags you about upgrading to the latest. I am using kubuntu 21.10 but have also tried older versions with same results.
