Virtual Hard Drive too Small

OS X 10.4.7:

Set my Hard Drive to be 20Gb; I get an "Out of Space" message, and properties says the drive is 3.0 Gb. ??? What's the problem?

This person is posting Mac questions in a Windows/Linux forum. Helping them here only encourages this sort of behaviour. Remembering that we all do this in our spare time, there are Windows/Linux people who do not wish to read about Mac problems. Directing this person to the appropriate forum is the best thing for the whole. It's good etiquette.
