Virtual Machine on external drive

Hello -

Anyone know if it's possible to store a virtual machine on an external drive and then be able to access it from two different computers? When I try, I always get a "you don't have enough access" error on the second computer. I've tried changing the permissions on the virtual machine but it still won't work.

I have a similar question like this one. I'd like to install linux on an external hard drive / USB flash drive, and be able to access it from multiple computers. Is that possible with Parallels 5?
