Virtue Desktops affecting OS X Hide functionality

I'm aware that this could be considered off-topic but seeing as how I only use Virtue for fast OS switching with Parallels thought this may be the best forum.

I have a very simple set-up :- 2 virtue desktops - one for XP & one 'normal'. The switching is great, but when I try and hide an application (cmd+h) the application is hidden but the desktops are also switched. I haven't changed any keys for switching desktops and use the default ctrl+shift+-> .

Can anyone advise why this might be & how it can be avoided. If I'm in the non-XP desktop I want to be able to cmd+h to hide an application without switching to the other virtue desktop.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just as a follow up - the problem IS related to Parallels as it doesn't happen when parallels is not open (& the VM doesn't have to be running either - just the property page view can be open).

SUggestions welcome

I *think* this is because when you hide an application, OSX automatically switches you to the last one you used. If your last app was Parallels, it switches you back. Easy test would be to swap out of Parallels, change apps a couple times, then hide one.
 
You can tell VirtueDesktops to not automatically switch desktops to show the focussed application (have a look under the application preferences for this setting). This would solve your issue from Virtue's standpoint.
 
Thanks Guys - both of you are right - I tried switching apps a few times & then hiding and it didn't switch desktops - until the last hide - and then it did!

So I changed the 'Change desktop to show focussed application' preference & voila! Sorted. No unwanted desktop switching. Nice one.
