Virus Protection and Parallels in congruence mode

Hi,

I have searched various forums on and off the Parallels site and can't seem to find an answer to this. Basically, if I am running Parallels in congrence mode (I only will be using it to run Quicken), then do I need AV protection since full blown Windows is not running, or is my logic incorrect? I am running Lion on a MacBook Pro, just installed the latest version of Parallels, about to install Win XP into it.

Amit,

You actually will be running Windows (you said XP) and you should install some kind of anti-virus in Windows. I use AVG because it's free.
