Vista: CD Read Speed

My Vista & Parallels install is running great its fast and reliable but the CD read speed is sooooo slow and installing Visual Studio from the CD it took nearly 5 mins to register the installer to run !!
 
Try making an ISO of the CD and connecting the ISO to Windows...

That would be my only guess. Vista on real hardware isn't quite there yet, so I would expect it to act up in a VM.
