Vista fails to start when opening VM containing migrated files

Downloaded/installed Parallels for Mac OS X, performed migration of entire PC contents via wireless network. Installed Vista. I have 2 VMs showing...Windows Vista and another called "Dell Transfer". Windows Vista opens up fine and I can see the desktop but none of the transferred files/programs. I also notice that although the icon in the lower right of the screen shows that "Parallel tools are installed", I have to press Control & Alt to release the mouse, which I read is a sign that the Tools are actually not installed.

Not quite sure what's happening and don't know how to fix this. Everthing seems to be installed and running (except "Dell Transfer") so I can't access my transferred files.

Why did you create a new virtual machine and install Vista if you did a migration of entire PC?

The migration created a virtual machine for you and included the Windows that was on the PC, didn't it?

Anyway, you could use the new Vista VM and add the virtual hard drive from the Dell VM to it so you can see your files. The virtual machines (.pvm files) are usually at ~/Documents/Parallels. The .hdd files are inside the .pvm files.
 
Thanks! I tried to add the virtual hard drive from the Dell VM to the Vista VM, but when I try to open up the Dell VM icon, it executes that VM rather than opening it to view/locate the .hdd file, so it appears I either don't have access to the .hdd, or it doesn't exist at all. I've tried Transporting the entire contents a second time and I get the same result.
 
Go to Virtual Machine -> Configure -> Hardware. Press (+) to add another Hard Disk. For Type, select existing image file. For Location, select Choose a file. In the Choose an Object dialog, go to Documents/Parallels and open the Dell VM and select the .hdd file. Then click Choose. Then OK.

To open a virtual machine in the Finder without launching it, right click the .pvm and select "Show Package Contents".

What happens when you try to run the "Dell Transfer" virtual machine?
