Vista Host - share wireless connection

I installed parallels workstation on a host running Vista RTM. I cannot seem to get my XP VM to connect to the network using the wireless card I use with Vista. I have tried turning off the firewall on both the host and guest and it still doesnt work. If I statically assign an IP address to the NIC in my XP VM, I can ping the IP address of my host, but nowhere else on the network, and the VM wont pick up an address from DHCP at all. Any ideas on how I can get this working?

I'm have the same problems. Vista Ultimate RTM as host on a Dell 9100 with Wireless. Cant get access to Internet from XP Pro SP2 Guest.

Tools are installed.

I tried to disable and enable the tools network and no different.

Has anyone ever got this to work sucessfully?

I cannot get an XP Guest to connect to the internet with a shared or wired connection...Vista Host.

I emailed support and that is a joke...been a few days and have not heard back....

HELP!

Yeah I never heardback from support either. I did find (from another post) that if you change the mac address of the NIC in the config for the VM to the MAC of the physical card you are using, it works. Only drawback is the host connection wont work while the VM is on.

Here's what I did that finally made mine work...open "Network and Sharing Center". On the left under Tasks click "Manage network connections". Hold down Ctrl and select your wireless connection and the Parallels NIC. Right-click and select "Add to bridge". You'll now have a new MAC Bridge Miniport that the two connections use...worked like a charm for me!
