Vista RC1 audio

Hello,
Vista recognises my Mac Pro's built-in speaker/audio as being Intel Audio AC '97 -- all well and good. However, the audio has a stutter/tremolo effect which, while initially trippy and novel, eventually grates on one's nerves. How do I fix this?
 
I am having this same problem. I've rebooted the VM several times and the sound is still choppy. Anyone else getting this? I'm running RC1 but I had the same problems with Beta2.
