VM running on Parallels 8 in a new IMac

I use a VM (with Windows 7 Pro) on a IMac with IOS 10.8.5 and Parallels Desktop 8. I would buy a new IMac , so I need to purchase the last version of Parallels (I think the PRO edition). Are there some problems to transfer the existing VM in the new IMac with Paralles 12 ? Is enough simply transfer the .PVM file, or are necessary other actions ?

I've already seen the article, thanks. But my doubt is if the VM created with Parallels 8 runs well with version 12 (normal or PRO version), simply using the way described in the article.

Yes, you will be able to use the virtual machine created on Parallels Desktop 8 with Parallels Desktop 12 without issues.
