Vtune 2023.2.0 on host of macOS Ventura 13.6 with Intel I9 not able to enable PMU virtualization

  1. I followed the configuration of Vtune for a Windows Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.3570] guest, and the "enable PMU virtualization" is not appearing.
(see Profile Targets on a Parallels* Guest System (intel.com))

trying to use vtune on Ventura/host to analyze a windows guest. The source of the issue with not being able to run Vtune is the vtss.sys driver won't install. The driver won't install because the driver install (Installing and starting VTSS++ driver...FAILED), where the Vtune shows upload_2023-10-25_14-35-13.png

since I can't see the enable dialog box, it's impossible for me to "enable PMU virtualization, and equivalently impossible to install the vtss driver.

    Any ideas on the issue?

  2. v13, user guide, page 165, "enable pmu virtualization"
v14, user guide, page 192, "enable..."
    v15, ...", page 201, ...
v16 & v19, no mention of the feature, and it's completely removed from the documentation...

:) nice, now I can truly cancel my subscription to Parallels, and delete the stupid conversions from VMware to your product. I love Parallels. I have no clue how you can sustain your business, what with no support, disappearing features; but hey, I guess what do I know, right?
